At C3, we believe that adventure and joy are important components of wellness and mental health.

Adventure therapy is a powerful and outdoor based form of psychotherapy that uses active and experiential approaches to help clients by inspiring change in impactful ways.

While it takes place outside of the confines of a traditional therapy setting, it is rooted in evidenced based psychological treatment modalities such as systems theory, experiential learning, and cognitive behavioral therapy. C3’s trained and licensed mental health providers facilitate adventure therapy in intentional ways to assist in individualized care and empowered growth.

Collaborative Care Counseling facilitates therapeutically structured experiences, such as surf therapy, mindfulness hikes, rock climbing, kayaking, SUP, camping, and other activity-based therapies to help restore balance and break unhealthy patterns. Employing nature as a back drop, adventure therapy offers opportunities to unplug from daily stressors, while we utilize therapeutic strategies that incorporate fun and healthy challenges to promote personal breakthroughs.

Adventure therapy can take many forms, which we match with each participant’s needs and desires. For instance, an adventure seeking person might benefit from a camping, rock climbing, surfing combo, while a serenity seeker might benefit from a mindfulness hike or gentle movement practice. Adventure therapy facilitated by C3 can be utilized by groups, families, and individuals. These can be provided in daily excursions, a brief outing style adventure, or intensives offered over several days.

C3 offers Adventure Therapy to existing clients, as well as to people and teams
looking for adventure therapy as a standalone service.
